Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this only a men’s club?

No, do they still make those?

  • Who owns Le Malt Royale?

    Our members.

  • What is the club at Le Malt Royale?

A space for men & women that appreciate the spirit of everything the club represents: the finer things in life. A custom tailored suit. A delicious glass of wine or whiskey. A hand-rolled cigar. Great food. Great company. Admittedly, the perks are most likely to appeal to those with masculine tastes, but who are we to question your style? We believe in discriminating tastes, without discrimination.

  • Why should I join?

No more waiting around an hour or two to get a table of four. Le Malt Royale is not in competition with the restaurants in town, the local country club or the hotel lobby. Apart from the amazing list of perks provided in membership, you’re bound to get a reservation or a walk-in seat on some of our busiest nights.

  • Where is it?

Le Malt Royale is located at 22 West Front St, Red Bank, NJ 07701 for our members and their guests.

  • Are there private lockers?

Want to stash that discerning box of Davidoff or Padron cigars somewhere good? These lockers are as secure and private as they get. However, that cigar might get a little lonely without the company of a nice bottle of scotch.

  • Can I bring my own wine, spirit or beer?

As a member, you have reciprocal perks at both Le Malt locations (Red Bank & Colonia). You are more than welcome to bring your own bottle to both locations. However, if you require additional bottles of wines or spirits, we can help with that. A proof of membership is required.

  • What is the policy for inviting guests?

Le Malt Royale is meant to be a place to entertain family & friends, clients & colleagues. There is no limitation of guests if you are dining at the parlor. Reservations to the parlor are highly recommended. However, members may bring up to three (3) guests to the saloon (cigar lounge). The saloon is walk-in only. Each additional guest is a $25 fee added to your check in the saloon.

  • What are the club's hours?

Le Malt Royale is open for dinner service from 4pm to 11pm, Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays.

  • Is there a dress code in the Club?

While we think everyone looks better in a finely tailored suit, we do not always require formal attire. We do, however, recommend Upscale Casual or Nattier. To uphold the Royale standard, please note that the following are prohibited in the club at all times: baseball hats, cargo shorts, open-toed shoes (sandals, flip flops, etc), running/gym sneakers, hoodies (or hoods of any kind), and sweatshirts/sweatpants.

  • How much does membership cost?

You can visit the membership details page by clicking here. The initiation and/or dues are subject to change at any time for new members.

  • Will the number of members be limited?

The membership will be capped at a comfortable number so members can often find a seat without a wait. Note: There are limited number of private lockers available. Don’t forget to catch the train when it comes by.

  • Are there other members my age?

If you answered with anything over "25" and under "dead," then yes, there are members your age. For what it's worth, the average age of our membership is 45, but we have members in their late 20s and members in their late 70s. Le Malt Royale prides itself on the diversity of its membership.
